Wood Lamp making with Monyo pattern (English)

  • CIC 65 Lohmühlenstraße Berlin, BE, 12435 Germany (map)

Join us for our upcoming Lamp Making Workshop, where we’ll explore the beauty of Japanese traditional patterns — Asanoha (麻の葉) and Kikkō (亀甲). These iconic motifs, often seen in Kumiko craft (組子) by skilled carpenters, reflect harmony, strength, and timeless Japanese design.

In this session, we’ll recreate these patterns through a laser-cut design, combining tradition and modern technique. With some sanding, staining, and assembling with love, you’ll create your very own lamp that glows with warmth and craftsmanship — all within 4 hours!
